The challenge
Most cinema booking sites hand you a flat grid and ask you to figure it out. Row C, seat 7, is that close to the screen? Is the view blocked? You don’t know until you’re already sitting there.
The brief was clear: build something that removes that uncertainty entirely. A booking experience that feels as premium as the cinema itself. One where the customer feels confident, not confused.
The goal wasn’t just to make it look good. It was to make the booking decision easier, and make the experience worth talking about.
The thinking
The core insight was simple: if you can see your seat before you sit in it, you book with confidence. And confident customers don’t abandon the process.
So we started from spatial experience, not UI patterns. Instead of asking “how do we display seat availability,” we asked “how do we make someone feel like they’re already in the room?”
That shift changed everything, the layout, the lighting, the camera angle, the color language for available and booked seats. Every decision pointed back to one thing: give the visitor spatial confidence.
We also kept the flow frictionless. Explore the hall freely. Click a seat. See the price. Confirm. No account wall. No endless forms. Just a direct path from curiosity to booking.
Making complixity feel simple
The build
Built entirely in Base44. No external codebase, no local setup, the entire product was prompted, iterated, and shipped from one place.
The cinema hall is a fully rendered 3D environment in-browser tiered seating across 8 rows of 12, real-time seat state, freehand drag-to-explore navigation, and a glowing screen with cinematic post-processing.
The lighting was one of the most iterated parts. Warm amber at seat level, cool bounce from the screen, wall sconces with actual glow, all tuned to feel like a real cinema without losing seat visibility in the dark.
The showtimes page connects directly into the seat selection view per screening. The landing page opens with a cinematic preloader, animated 3D popcorn, and a single CTA that drops you straight into the hall.
From first prompt to finished product, one tool, one week.
The outcome
A booking experience that does what flat seat maps never could, put the customer inside the room before they commit.
Visitors can drag to explore the entire hall freely, hover seats to see pricing, select up to six seats, and confirm instantly. The spatial confidence this creates directly reduces hesitation and drop-off at the booking step.
The result is a product that feels as premium as the cinema it represents and one that turns a transactional process into an experience people remember.
